After a long period of uncertainty and staying in, our team have worked hard over the past year throughout the pandemic to help their clients secure mortgages. Our team continue to work from home in many cases and we have been excited to start venturing out a little more as the lock down restrictions have been eased.

Team Building in Dartmouth
The team took a trip to Dartmouth in Devon on what is usually our annual team building event, though due to the pandemic, we were unable to book this last year. Arriving on Friday for the start of the weekend, the theme for Friday evening was Hawaiian Ibiza party, and we certainly know how to mix it up! Everyone made the effort to dress up and have a great time as you can see from the picture. The power ballad sing-a-long was a lot of fun and our voices are still paying the price.
We were really lucky with the September weather and on Saturday we spent most of the day outside making full use of the heated pool and the hot tub. Team games were the feature of the day and included pool, table tennis, tennis, beer pong, Dobble was a huge hit (if you have never played, check it out), and everyone was surprisingly good at Boules on the lawn.
We also split the team between those that are mainly based in the office and those who work remotely, team names being Remote Raiders & Office Oracles, Ben had organised a great quiz for us which culminated in a scavenger hunt around the house and garden, a very competitive end to the Saturday activities!
Sunday was a much quieter day, a lazy start with a brunch as we all missed breakfast. A really relaxed day which culminated in us watching The Greatest Showman, sitting around the fire pit and then having a team netball game in the indoor pool, back in the hot tub and then back to the cosy fire pit.
Staff Summer Getaways
Julie Veale who works in our administrative team and Neil Andrews, one of our mortgage consultants, took a lovely, sunny holiday to Polzeath in Cornwall where they enjoyed drinks by the beach.
Tracey Ames, one of our mortgage consultants, took a relaxing trip to Oxford where she enjoyed a spot of rowing.
Jaz Burton from our administrative team, went on a quiet camping trip with her partner to Wales.
Jackie Neil, our Head of Compliance, invested in the latest Summer craze and learned how to paddle board.
Clint Whitfield, one of our mortgage consultants, took a nice trip to Devon where he enjoyed his favourite alcoholic beverage – rum!
Charlotte Ware, one of our mortgage consultants, enjoyed some quality time with her son Zach and a day at the races. She was delighted to win at the horse races at Goodwood in Sussex, and also enjoyed some fun catching crabs at Lyme Regis beach.
Chris Croake, mortgage consultant and director of Choice Mortgage Solutions, enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Cornwall where he spent time on the beach, on the water, eating ice cream and walks in the forest with his family.
